I had a fabulous surfing vacation but believe it or not I am so happy to be home.
My husband and I spent our vacation in a tiny little surf town on the pacific coast of Costa Rica called Dominicalito. At first it was hard to me to relax..I actually started to make to do list for when I get back. Nope not even kidding. I don’t have too many stories to tell because my daily activities included: Drinking amazing coffee, walking the beach looking for heart shaped rocks, (I'm not a heart shape kind of girl but I do collect heart shaped rocks and shells when strolling the beach) surfing, lots and lots of reading and believe it or not...cooking. I almost never cook in my non-vacationing life but for some reason when on vacation I become inspired …maybe it is because the house that we rented is on a property that is landscaped with coconut palms, banana trees, wild cilantro and oregano. My daily diet consisted of sangria, mahi-mahi, homemade slasa, and more sangria!! We bought fresh fish and jumbo shrimp from the local fisherman and simply put yummy! Last year we were the only ones on the beach when we spotted Danny Devito, Rita Pearlman and their children walking down the beach setting up camp right next to us!!!
I have to tell everyone about a fun little camera that I husband brought along this trip. It is the Olympus Stylus 770 SW. This camera is a small point and shoot digital camera that happens to be waterproof…I am not talking rain waterproof I mean underwater in the ocean or pool waterproof!! This camera also allows you to make mini movies!! Loved it!!
No monkey sightings in Dominicalito but when we escaped for a few days and went to explored Manual Antonio monkeys invaded our hotel room balcony.
My vacation photography project was based on shapes and textures that caught my eye while walking Dominicalito beach.
It is great to be back in the studio and peek back this weekend to view George and Becca’s 6~9~07 island wedding currently being featured in Seacoast Bride Magazine!!!
