Ernie!!

Meet the new Katherinejane Photography mascot. His name is Ernie and he is 9 weeks old. He will be coming to work with me so feel free to drop by for a visit. My new studio will be dog friendly with water and treats for all woof~ woof visitors!

Avelina is almost 1!

Okay so check out the smile and curly hair on this adorable child. The last time I saw little Avelina it was Thanksgiving and I was photographing her baby story at Newton-Wellesley Hospital. Now she's a few weeks from celebrating her first birthday!! She has turned her parents gorgeous home into a gorgeous playroom and she loves books. Happy b-day my little reader!

Serge and Julia: Married 10~11~2008!

Serge and Julia married each other again in front of family and friends. This couple officially married last January but had to have a city celebration with family and friends here in Boston!
You guys rock! Why you ask?


1. Julia you have no idea how stunning you are…I could photograph you all day!
2. Serge is from Mexico City. If I did not marry a Boston boy Mexico City would be my home.
3. This jazz club wedding was…humm how do you say perfecto!! Serge and Julia’s guests…a fun, hip international crowd was at home at the Ryles.
4. Tequila, tequila and just a wee bit more tequila.


Congrats Julia and Serge. I wish you una vida larga y feliz!!

Jim and Melanie: Married 10~04~2008!!

Where shall I start in describing my favorite Pittsburgh newlyweds and their wedding..?

1. Melanie is known here at the studio as my “red shoes” bride. She is insanely talented, creative, organized, gorgeous and is madly in love with her high school sweetheart HUSBAND!!!
2. Jim is almost always smiling…probably because he is madly in love with his high school sweetheart WIFE!!!
3. The pin on Melanie’s bouquet handle was purchased in Ireland and borrowed from her maternal grandmother.
4. When Jim and Melanie got engaged Jim has three requests: great food (including pirogues) great beer, and a banana chocolate cake in honor of the cake his parents had at their wedding. There was a cake cutting station…Love that idea!!!
5. Mechanics Hall was the perfect backdrop for the 1930’s glam energy of this wedding….amazing vinage furniture, spotlights and plenty paint the town red RED!
6. Special thanks to the wedding party who “played” in traffic with us and to the guest who started spin the bottle on the dance floor!!
