Carlo and Sarah {married} Willowdale Estate

I have been staring at my computer screen for almost 45 min because I have so much to share with you about Carlo and Sarah that I don’t even know where to start. Here goes the list.

1. Carlo comes from a long line of huggers. His family motto is “ If you don’t want a hug don’t come over.” I was hugged many many many times during this wedding. I’m a hugger too so I was with my people.
2. Sarah is perfect. Smart, funny and absolutely gorgeous. She is also an artist☺
3. Sarah really loves her Carlo…she gave up her Back Bay pad with a killer view and moved to his hometown outside of Boston.
4. Custom designed coloring books for the kids. How cute!
5. Willowdale Estate….stunning.
6. They meet on a booze cruise over 5 years ago. Love it!
7. Last year I photographed Serge and Julia’s wedding. They referred me to Carlo and Sarah. They also referred me Steve and Sarah (just married a few weeks ago.) I was so excited to see them at Steve and Sarah’s wedding. This is how our conversation went down.

Serge “I just saw Carlo and Sarah.”
Me “OMG…I love them”
Serge “They said tell Katie we love her”
Me “ When I first met Carlo I was thinking is this guy for real…is he really that sweet.”
Serge “Oh I know…he is the real deal.”

{studio news} Happy Thanksgiving etc..

The Lower Mills 2nd Annual Holiday Stoll brought many people into my studio. Last year I went through two bottles of prosecco and this year I went through half a case. Last year I made sugar cookies from scratch (my great grandmother’s recipe.) This year I had to take the store bought route and it will never happened again. I was asked several times…”where are your homemade cookies?”
I’ll be posting images of the studio after my new canvas images are on display. {Special thanks} to my husband for spending his free time working on the studio while I workie workie.

Wishing everyone a festive and safe Thanksgiving.

The studio will be closed from Nov 23- Nov 29th. All emails and voice messages will be returned after the holiday.

I have decided that blog posts without images are boring so here are a few images from Lew and Meriden’s Elm Bank wedding. I call the image below…boy meets girl and that girl comes with a group of gorgeous crazy fun girlfriends.

Yes vintage cameras...love them and they are now back at the studio missing the ladies.

Studio News {Ernie}

It has been a long time since Ernie has blessed the blog with his presence. He is now 1 year old and has become such an important member of my little family. Despite having a dog bed on every floor he somehow ends up on our bed. He goes to bed at 8 pm every night, most of the time leaving us downstairs as he makes his way to our bed. He sleeps in which I love.
He would chew all of my Frye boots if he knew that I told you this but even though is name is Ernie we end up calling him Bunny or Bunz. God I hope he does not read this post!

He naps in the sunroom blocking the front door with his 8olb body..if we leave the house he will know it!

Keith and Alyssa {portrait sneak peek}

Just one of many images from Keith and Alyssa’s portraits session. I love it. Simple and sweet.

They have a secret. They told me. Exciting.

{TONIGHT} Lower Mills Holiday Stroll and Open Studios

I'm leaving my home office in a few to get the studio ready for the Lower Mills Holiday Stroll/Open Studios tonight from 5:30-8pm. Cookies are not homemade this year...but the prosecco will be nice and cold. Blog posts are not as much fun unless there is a photo so here is one from my session last week with Seth, Amanda and of course Max..the star of the show.

P to the S... I will be blogging my head off next week:)

Jon and Alicia {married} Eastward Ho Country Club

I meet Alicia years ago when I was a world traveler. The last time I saw her she was working at the White House and I was about to I moved to France. We reconnected again via Facebook and before I knew it I was photographing her seaside wedding.

Alicia and Jon are a Washington, DC couple but choose Orleans on Cape Cod as the backdrop for their wedding. Their ceremony was in her parent’s backyard (no rain thank you very much!) and the Eastward Ho Country club hosted the reception. Yes Ho...but get your mind out of the gutter!

Alicia’s mother is better than Martha Stewart. She handled all floral arrangements and every other detail of this wedding. Unreal!

The Matron of honor’s toast brought everyone to tears, as you will see.

Special thanks to the bride’s best friend Erik for being my golf cart driver…with a gin and tonic in his hand, the entire time…going at fast rates of speed..over hills...fast. Gin. Tonic.

What cute dogs! The are spoiled by Alicia and I love her for it!
