Dave and Jen~ Married 9~27~08!

It is only fitting that Jen and Dave celebrated their marriage in Boston. Jen is originally from Maine and Dave from Florida and they meet during their first weekend as Bostonians!
The historical Old North Church in the North End and the Omni Parker hotel were both gorgeous locations for this gorgeous couple. Only Jen can eat a bagel with cream cheese minutes before getting into her dress and still look fabulous!
This couple was surround by loved ones in many different ways. The best man was deployed to Iraq weeks before the wedding but his presence and love was felt with the help of a video presentation/ cardboard life size cutout and a perfectly time cell phone call. “Poppy” Jen’s grandpa was the inspiration behind the details of the day…and her bathroom towels…yes the things you notice when you are standing in a bathtub with a camera!

Keira~ A baby Story: Home

This past July 3rd I photographed the arrival of Chuck and Alyssa’s first child a little girl they named Keira. I arrived at Mass General Hospital at around 11pm and slept in the visitors lounge for a few hours until Keira was ready to meet the world. Now at home Keira loves to be in her mother’s arms and has dad smiling at the mention of her name!

Ben and Jess: married 9~19~2008

The cool kids got married. Last Saturday Ben and Jess and (their dog Lucy) got married at the stunning Willowdale Estate. Ceremony by candlelight and gorgeous details at every turn. Ben’s family and friends came from Holland to join in the celebration. Ok this is a random thought but Jess has the best hair I have ever seen…okay back to the wedding. Some of the highlights:

1. Attached to each bridesmaid’s bouquets were vintage brooches handpicked to match the personality of each of the ladies.
2. The bride’s brother Phil could rule the world!
3. Jess’s parents are so outgoing and in love…father of the bride tried to pick up his bride and spin her around the dance floor (yes Monica I got that shot too.)
4. Lucy was the flower girl
5. THE SWEETEST, DOWN TO EARTH, DANCING MACHINE BRIDAL PARTY EVER!

Ben and Jess have an amazing time in Costa Rica and Mexico!!!

They are sarcastic, she has freckles, they enjoy traveling and are crab rangoon coinsures…how could I not love them.!!

My stomach hurts from laughing so hard. Leslie and Steve are out of control funny. They know how to have a good time…and maybe that is an understatement! Poor Steve, he was outnumbered walking around the city with two “crazy” girls.

Alice ~ A Baby Story: Home

This is Alice. We have the same birthday. This year I spend my b- day at St. Vincent’s Hospital to photograph Alice’s baby story! She is so cute and happy in her loving home. Karen and Erika are such fun and laid-back parents (okay Erika is a bit more laid-back than Karen☺.) Ladies thank you for inviting me to you warm home and spoiling me with fancy water and yummy baked treats!! I can’t wait to see you all again in March!






JUNE 28~2008 Baby Story: The Arrival

Great News!!

This news is better than the coffee I drink each morning, better than the 2 new Anthropologie rugs that I found on the sale rack, better than Barolo...!


For the past few years I have volunteered my photography to M.A.R.E and the Heart Gallery. Last fall I photographed 12 year Shaquon for the Heart Gallery. I am thrilled to report that Shaquan has been adopted!!!

What is the Heart Gallery?
“Organized by the Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, Inc. (MARE), the Heart Gallery is a striking exhibit of portraits of children in the state’s foster care system in need of adoption. Professional and amateur photographers volunteer their expertise to create remarkable images of the children. Most of the youth have been waiting at least one year to find a family to call their own, and include school-aged children, sibling groups, children of color, and those with emotional, intellectual, and physical difficulties. The goal of the Heart Gallery is to raise awareness about adoption from foster care and to find adoptive homes for the more than 600 Massachusetts’ children who wait.”

Serge and Julia’s e~session

Serge and Julia are getting married!! I have not seen them in while so I was thrilled to spend Saturday morning with them catching up on their wedding and life. Julia has travel to as many South American counties as I have and it is not very often that I meet someone who has also visited Pablo Neruda’s amazing homes in Chile.
Peak back next month to see images of their wedding, which will be very cool! All I will say is that the wedding will be hosted at the Ryles Jazz Club in Inman Square and loved ones will be traveling from all over the country and Mexico to celebrate!! Serge, no puedo esperar para hacer frente a tu madre!

Chris and Miranda~married~9.06.2008

Life is good for Chris and Miranda!!! This past Saturday Miranda’s big Jewish family came together with Chris’s big Greek family to celebrate love!!! Miranda’s childhood dream of walking down her grandmother's grand staircase to meet her prince charming finally came true.
I have gotten to know this couple over the past year and a half, they have become my friends so I can tell you a few things about them. They will love each other for eternity, they have an epic love story that they write books and movies about and Miranda always looks this beautiful.
This wedding celebration was filled with some shy folks and no one wanted to get in front of my camera…NOT!!! It was so fun to see my 5~3~08 couple Jenn and Jarred. Jenn was one of the bridesmaids and she look gorgeous in her champagne colored dress!
The Charter Oak Country Club was a perfect fit for this wedding. Covered balconies and walkways gave us shelter from the storm to actually shoot outside!!! Chris and Miranda have an amazing time in Aruba!

Studio News: Published~ Photographers Forum, Best of Photography 2008

Today I received an email from Photographer’s Forum informing me that one of my images from my trip to Peru last winter (for my documentary project “ Senor Ruben”) was selected to be published in the hard cover book Best of Photography 2008!!
What an awesome ending to a long hot day! The book will be in book stores in December.

Studio News: Where to start….

THE STUDIO
The past couple weeks have been filled with portrait sessions, site visits, wedding consultations, album design AND putting the finishing touches on renovating our new storefront studio space. Special thanks to everyone who has helped us renovate. I have now entered the fun stage of decorating!!!
I hope to open the studio doors in the next couple weeks where I'll be hanging prints, displaying my 2008 Holiday card designs and waiting for my new sample albums to arrive… but as of now October 23 is our official opening date. Studio hours will be Sunday/Wen/Thur 10-6 and all other times by appointment only.
