The Heart Gallery: my friend Alex

It was an honor to meet and photograph Alex for the Heart Gallery!!!

The Heart Gallery is a striking exhibit of portraits of children in the Massachusetts foster care system in need of permanent families. Most of the children have been waiting for at least one year to find a family to call their own and include school-aged children, sibling groups, children of color of all ages, and children with emotional, intellectual and physical difficulties or disabilities.

The goal of the Heart Gallery is to create awareness about foster care adoption and find families for the hundreds children in state care awaiting adoption. MARE organizes this exhibit, which travels to various venues across the Commonwealth throughout the year. Jordan’s Furniture is proud to host permanent Heart Gallery displays in all their stores. We are grateful to Jordan’s for their commitment to help find permanent families for children in foster care.
