The Heart Gallery

I am absolutely honored to be one of the photographers invited to participate in The M.A.R.E. (Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange) Heart Gallery. The Heart Gallery is a striking exhibit of portraits of children in the Massachusetts foster care system in need of permanent families. “The goal of the Heart Gallery is to create awareness about foster care adoption and find families for the hundreds children in state care awaiting adoption.” MARE organizes this exhibit, which travels to various venues across the Commonwealth throughout the year. Chansly and Keisha

What happens when you bring the beautiful cultures of Haiti and Honduras together….Chansly and Keisha’s wedding!!! Keisha’s uncle surprised the guests by singing a Spanish love song and Chansly helped get everyone together for the family portraits speaking in Creole!! Chansly's mom confessed that he just might be her favorite son after all. We had a blast capturing this lively festive celebration filled with culture, tradition, family and friends of course non-stop dancing!!! Guests traveled from all over the world to witness true love!!!

It really is a small world after all!

When Olivia’s mom Laura contacted me to participate in my Blue Sky Portrait Special we had no idea that our paths had crossed in the past. At our session we were chatting about life in our 30’s,babies and weddings. Turns out Laura grew up on my street and we went to the same pre-school and elementary school!!! It really is a small world. Olivia is a walker! She loves music and will be breaking some hearts!!

World's fastest crawler!!!!!

I love this family. They love photography. I was lucky enough to photograph Rachel's mom just before she went into labor and then photographed Rachel when she was just one week old. Now Rachel is one year old and is the fastest crawler on the planet with a strong independent personality. It was so nice to see them again!!!

In the park with Parker

I love love love the people I have meet through my Blue Sky Portrait Special (click back to my website under monthly specials for more details.) Little Parker graced me with his big blue eyes and new teeth. We had fun moving from park to park with...how apropo..Parker! He is a South End baby and has the coolest parents ever!!

My Sweetheart's Special Day!!!!!

Every year I always like to celebrate the anniversary of when my sweetheart got on the Boston Fire Department. I was sorting threw my film negatives and I found this image. I love it for so many reasons. The mayor and fire commissioner had just presented him with his fire badge and when returned to his seat I caught this moment of him… proud, humble and shy. This is the image that I have framed on my desk in the studio and it can make me cry because I know how hard he worked for this moment. This is the image that someday our future children will look at when their dad is at work and touch with sticky fingers. Our grandchildren will be amazed that their grandpa was actually young once upon a time. This is the image that will remind us when we were young and so happy that our dreams were coming true!!
Happy Anniversary and many more safe years!!! oxox
